Mrs. Olson, Greetings and Happy Holiday from Idaho I saw your cookie exchange
on the cooking network tonight, and was so impressed with it that I had to
email you and visit your site. I did a search for your site. They should
have listed it on the program *grin*. Your site is lovely and what a wonderful
idea. I have a new daughter in law and soon will have two new step daughters
*smile* I am getting married in a few months. I was thinking this would be
a great new tradition. You pages are very imformative and I so enjoyed your
friends and cookie recipes. Thank you for sharing with the rest of the world.
I shall be back often *smile* Bre'
I really liked the show. Cookie baking has not been a specialty of mine,
however, you have insprired me to give it another try.
Saw your special on Food channel. Would like to try "exchange" at our
church with our women's guild. Love your site!
Just saw on you host your Cookie Exchange on the Food Network -- you did
a great job, looks like fun! Will you invite me to your exchange next year?
:-) Happy Holidays!
I saw you on "The Cookie Exchange" I Love the idea. I want host one next
year. It sounds like a lot of fun.
saw you on the food network, and had to see your site.i'm glad i did.keep
up the great work!
I found it quite wonderful and inspiring seeing your segment on the Food
Network special. I loved to see the gathering of friends for such a festive
and tasty occasion. My joy was topped when I discovered your website. I must
admit I made a bee line to my computer and added you to my list of favorites!
I'm sure the exposure on the Food Network will illicit many of the same feelings
it has in me. Just between you and me, it's exciting and a little weird seeing
yourself on tv. I was on Calling All Cooks in November and I can't tell you
what an out of body experience that was for me. :-) In closing, I would just
like to wish you and your family a Merry Christmas and all the best for a
Happy and healthy New Year! Sincerely Chamein Canton
The site is truly wonderful and is over flowing with tasty treats and
how to do's. Can't wait to begin my journey into "The Land of Tasty Treats".
Thank You and Happy Holidays Esther P.S. I'm new at this Web TV experience
thing. Forgive me if I'm not quite up to par yet.
SUNDAY DEC. 13,1999 JUST SAW YOUR PROGRAM ON SARAH MOULTON'S PROGRAM,
I REALLY ENJOYED YOUR SEGMENT. EVERYTHING LOOKED BEAUTIFUL. I'M SERIOUSLY
THINKING ON DOING THIS NEXT YEAR. HAVE A WONDERFUL HOLIDAY.
What a great web page. Glad I stumbled across it. Keep up the great work.
I'm one of your LOTH sisters and will anxiously be watching for you on
Sunday! I loved your page and definitely have it bookmarked. Will track down
some of my cookie recipes and send them in, too! Thanks for all the time
and talent you spent creating this wonderful website! I appreciate all the
hard work you put into it!
Thank you so much for sharing your site and your wonderful recipes with
the world. I am a young woman and this year I wanted to bake cookies as gifts
but had no recipes that I really could trust except for one that my mom passed
down to me. I did not want to use a cookbook that was store bought because
they have a tendency to leave out key "tips" Your site is WONDERFUL! Thanks
for all the tips and I will check back in after my baking and let you know
how the recipes I tried turned out.
I love you site you have done such a great job. I started my web site
last year at this time. I have come a long way but can see I have much to
learn from people like you. Great job. I hope you will visit me I love vistors
especially those that sign my guestbook. Take the time to see my Seasons
and Holiday site also. The link is on my Seasons With Family and Friends.
Well back to looking. Happy Holidays to you and yours. May your days be Merry
and Bright...... Bonnie
After searching the web for ideas on Christmas cookie exchanges, your
site was the only one I found with valuable information. Thank you so much
for helping me set up my "Mother Daughter" cookie exchange. What an interesting
event! Being that I am 44 years old and my daughter is 12, I felt it was
time for her to learn the art of making Christmas cookies. Usually Grandma
makes them because we are all so busy with our hectic lives. This year we
decided to make the time passing on the tradition........which seems to be
fading from my generation of friends. We had 16 women and 20 children ranging
in ages from 1-16. After we ate the buffet of food I prepared, we then proceeded
to have the mothers and daughter work together to decorate and ice cut out
cookies! What a site to see the 2 four year olds having a ball getting to
ice those cookies! They all brought aprons and had fun decorating the cookies
they could bring home. The dining room was filled with mothers and daughters
as we shared out baking stories around the dining room table filled with
homemade Christmas Cookies. I was thankful for my friends who took the time
and effort to pass on this tradition to their daughters and work together
in a bonding relationship. One 7 year old said, "This is the best time I've
had with my Mom ever!". How neat to share this time together in a hectic
time of the year. Thank you for your insight and planning strategies on your
web site to help me make a great day with moms and daughters. I am tired
today, but it was all worth it. If you would like me to share my recipes
for our buffet I will be happy to! Many Thanks, Carlen Ginzl
Great recipes!
THANKS FOR ALL THE INFO AND HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!!!!!!!!!!
Well Robin my dear the time has come for your 15 minutes of fame and you
deserve it!! As we celebrate Christmas let us remember the gift you have
brought to us by sharing your home and inviting us every year to celebrate
YOUR COOKIE EXCHANGE party! This party allows us to share friendships that
have grown, recipes that have come from our past and carry forward, a moment
to stop our breath during the holidays, and memories that will carry on forever.
Your gift to us every year is one of love and sharing and we are thankful
for being invited. May others find the time with their friends to start this
tradition at a busy time of the year to share a little of the past and present.
Others say, "stop and smell the roses" while we say stop and "smell the cookies."
Continued success on your web site awards as we your friends award you with
"A Good Friend Award" for sharing your home with us during a special time
of year. Hugs, Nancy
Great site!!
very interesting site.
thank you for a great web page.
Very good site. I loved it.I have been to a few cookie exchangegs before
but forgot the rules. Thanks so much for the info.
Your site is one of the best that I have viewed so far. Great ideas!
Thanks
Just a quick thank you. We're looking at doing our first exchange at my
office and I wanted to be sure we had a good set of rules to distribute with
the invite. I found lots of good info (including great rules) here at your
site.
So glad to find this heart warming site! I am in a house in a development
under construction but there are about thirty -forty houses on this street--I
really want to host an exchange so we can "break the ice" --I want to have
real neighbors for a change! Can you make some suggestion from your own
experience on how to deal with that kind of number? I don't expect they will
all come--and I am more interested in the socializing aspect than the hard
core cookie rules aspect this time around---I will have name tags and try
an "ice breaker " or two--cookie related? Do You have time to make some specific
suggestions? Thanks so much!
I can't wait to see the show! I hope I did alright ,I was very
nervous!
Thank you, Thank you, Thank you for your wonderful Christmas Cookie Exchange
website! Last year I decided to host my own cookie exchange, but didn't quite

"how-to's." Congratulations on your fabulous website! Your hard work and
creativity is very much appreciated!

cookie exchange for my neighborhood. Everyone is so excited and I don't have
a clue what to do first. But now I do. Thank you!!!!!!!!
I love reading your stories. I've tried and tried to get people together
for something like this; but it's so hard when everyone is just so busy with
their lives. I may try again after checking out your pages. My sister sent
this to me and she said she was thinking of me when she found your web-page.
Thanks for sharing...Lucy
Organized web page!!! Love it. AMY
Wonderful info on cookie exchange. We started a mother/daughter cookie
exchange and family members are to take turns hosting it. This year my daughter
and I will be hosts. Do you ever play games for prizes, have a x-mas gift,
ornament exchange?
Hey Robin, finally got on your web site. It looks great. Please add me
to your mailing list. Thanks again for the invitation to the cookie exchange,
it was alot of fun. Carol
A beautiful site! How about scanning in your recipes? That might make
it go a little faster! Maybe that could be a new duty for the taste testers...
type a recipe/taste the cookie... I am working on developing the same tradition
-- starting six Christmases ago when we bought our house. I love doing it!
I just need to get more people to get into the spirit of it!!! Thanks for
the encouragement in your site. This is my first visit!!!
Robin, thank you for your wonderful web site. I am hosting my first cookie
exchange and searching the internet for some ideas. This is all of the

you menu and entered. I am so glad I did. What a great web site and great
recipes. Thank You.
Was looking for advice on organizing a Christmas cookie exchange at work.
There your site was: Number 1 on the list furnished by the search
engine.
My sister and I have talked about doing a cookie exchange for a couple
of years, but haven't yet. I decided now that I am settled in a new home
I will host it and make sure we get it done this year. We had heard of the
idea several years ago from out next door neighbor who participates in one
herself. We are looking forward to it and I'm sure your website will give
me some additional ideas. Thanks!
Bless you for the candy cane recipe. I made them when my kids were little
and now that they are grown they want to make them too, but I lost the recipe.
Glad I came to your page.
Robin
