I watched your Christmas Cookie Exchange on the Sarah Moulton show and
enjoyed myself immensely. I have never seen such a wide variety of cookies
in my life. I can now understand why a tradition like that brings friends
together from close and far. Keep up the good work!
I caught the end of your cookie exchange on the food network last night.
It looked like a lot of work but soooo much fun! I love to bake and would
love to do this too but I don't have a lot of ladies here where I live. It
probably wouldn't be as much fun with only a few people. You look like a
bunch of very fun ladies. Happy Holidays!

Loved the show and your web! You put Martha Stewart to shame!
Just enjoyed watching your show - for the first time. You inspired me
to plan an exchange next year. I don't think I have time to get one done
in the next 3 days! I have not done an exchange in years and your show brought
back many happy memories. Merry Christmas and all the best to you and your
family in the coming year. Pam Detrow
I enjoyed watching the show on the Food Network. It really inspired me
to start baking and I made 5 dozen cookies tonight! You have a wonderful
web site.
Robin, I tuned into TV Food Network for the Cookie Exchange. It was reassuring
to know there are many others out there that go through the horrors. Just
yesterday I sent eight dozen cookies, (Double-dipped Hazelnut Crisps), with
my husband to work. It was our first official cookie exchange. Three long
days of baking, dipping, burning, soggy, waiting! I am exhausted. After watching
you in action I have learned many new ideas and tricks. I am not only exhausted,
but very excited for next year to roll around. You were wonderful! Thank
you, Beth (NY)
Your web page is terrific. Lots of fun.
Robin, I watched your exchange on tv last night.. What a nice house youhave
and what wonderful friends and family. YOu should be proud of yourself people
like you make the differnce in the world.. dont ever stop. HELEN
I happened to catch the segment on your cookie swap last nite (12/20/99)
on Cooking Live and I just wanted to tell you that I think you have a great
tradition going. What a wonderful way to get family and friends together.
I plan on visiting your site often. Perhaps, I'll even start a cookie swap.
Thanks.
I saw you on the food channel doing Sara Moultons Holiday Cookie Swap
special. I immediately went to your web site and have thoroughly enjoyed
it. Thank you for sharing all of the recipes and great advice. Happy Holidays
to You.
loved the show on the food channel
Robin, I enjoyed seeing your cookie exchange that was televised on the
food Network. It looked like soo much fun I am thinking about holding an
exchange too. I read your reasons for making cookies with flour as the base
ingreadient. One of my favoite cookies is an almond macaroon recipe from
my grandfather who owned an almond processing factory in Brooklyn. Another
favorite cookie is a florentine which I havn't made in quite some time, but
seem to remember the main ingredients being oats. If you have time I am wondering
if you would tell me if these type of cookies would lend themselves towards
following year invitations. Thanks for your great cookie exchange ideas,
Noah Peckler
loved your website and suggestions!!
Merry Xmas and a happy new year to you and yours. We just watched the
food network and saw your site and decided to take a boo at it. Awesome layout.
just took a quick gander so far. Keep up the awesome work. Ian
Saw you on TV's Food Network tonight! Loved it!!
Thank you Robin..... I watched your cookie swap...wish I had seen it a
bit earlier... :-( I will do this for sure next year..Great
website!!!
I caught your Cookie Exchange on T.V. and really admired your Holiday
spirit. Your website is really fun I book marked it so I can go through it
all after the holidays. I have a question for you. I've known my husband
for four years and we've been married for 1 this past October. He likes to
hunt and finally caught a deer. Do you have any venison receipe. If you don't
maybe you can lead me on the right direction. I've never had venison and
I'd like my first experience with it to be a good one. Thanks.
Great web site. I would love to see pictures of each cookie. This usually
helps me decide what cookie I would like to make.
Robin, I saw your segment on FOOD NETWORK and am in the last minute pursuit
of having my own exchange THIS YEAR on 12/23. I am a teacher so my time as
well as my guests is extremely limited. Our exchange will not be as elaborate
as most, yet hopefully a success. I originally got the idea from a teaching
magazine and was excited to learn more from the show. Thanks for the website
info.. Merry Christmas :-}
What a delightful idea for beginning the holiday season. I saw part of
the Food TV show tonight and have enjoyed looking around the site.
Thanks for the site Robin. I was looking for information on freezing cookies
and got much more than I bargained for. It's put together nicely too. It
may even inspire me to actually ORGANIZE a cookie exchange next year.
The recipes look absolutely delicious, what a fun idea. I look forward
to my own exchange. Thanks again from the frozen northern hemi of the
world.
Love your website, especially the cookie exchange, watching it as I write.
Looking forward to viewing more in the future. Good Luck!!
Wonderful site. Saw the show on FoodTV. I will put this site in my favorite
list. Thanks for the recipes and have a Merry Holiday !!!!
Enjoyed your cookie exchange piece on the Food Network, Monday, December
20, 1999. It is so great to share time with your friends.
I really enjoyed your site, especially the section on the cookie exchange.I
always disliked them and now i know why! We didn't have your rules, which
are full of common sense and graciousness.Maybe now, I will host one myself
next year-your webpage printed out and in hand.
Just dropping in to let you know how much I enjoyed "The Cookie Show"
on FoodTV 12/18/99. Thanks for sharing with all of us!
Hi Robin: This is my first visit to your website and I just wanted to
tell you that I watched the Cookie Swap on the Food Channel yesterday and
enjoyed it so much that I plan on hosting one myself next year. I've always
enjoyed this time of year and find that baking cookies seems to get me in
the spirit even more! Besides, my family enjoys it as well too!!! I plan
on trying out a few of those recipes you've got posted. Have a Merry Christmas
and Happy New Year!! Michelle
I would just like to tell you that the cookie exchange program is a great
idea.It give everyone a chance to see eachother for at least once in a year
without total caios.I wanted to tell you that I am thankful for this web
and the receipes that you put on.Thank You. Jennifer
Your website is wonderful. I am going to try a cookie exchange next year.
Keep up the good work.
Absolutely love your website but I'm sure you hear that all the time...
Question... what are your gifts that you pass out for 1st, 2nd and 3rd prize
at your gift exchanges? I am goint start that tradition among my friends.
Thank you for sharing your information with me. Also how exciting to be on
T.V. how did that arrangement get done. Did you get to meet Sara Moulton?
Saw your Cookie exchange on FoodTV Network. What a wonderful way to gather
friends. Thanks for an idea for next year.
Just wanted you to Know that Kim told me about your web site, and I have
been here, and sent it to several friends. I love it.... too much good stuff.
Thanks Jackie
I really like your web page. I saw your show about the cookie exchange.
I do have one question though,Do you know if anyone has tried it in the state
of Indiana?
Hi Robin Saw your cookie swap on Food TV and thought it was a great idea.
Made me want to be there with you and your friends. Its a great tradition
to have . Your home is beautiful. Im glad I got to share the bit of time
with you this holiday season, perhaps I'll start a tradition of my own here
in Illinois. Happy Holidays!!!!!!
I was watching the FOOD TV channel, the Holiday Cookie Swap, and I saw
your segment. It was great and I wrote down your website. I love to cook
and I love tradition. Every year I have a Tree Trimming Party the day after
Thanksgiving. My friends come over and I fix a big dinner. They bring christmas
ornaments, we decorate the tree and then we have dinner. I am going to bookmark
your site and visit often. I create websites and I am going to create one
for myself. I love what you have done. Merry Christmas and a Happy and Blessed
New Year, Cynthia in Petersburg, VA
A good friend of mine who lives in Wisconsin (Cybernet Buddies, we have
never actually met in person) got your URL while watching a show on FoodTV
... something about a cookie swap show ... anyway she sent me an email about
your site. She thought it would be a good candidate for our "Cool Web Sites"
page. After looking at your site I have to agree that she is correct. It
will be listed at http://www.pagewizards.com/cool.html. Great site!
Thanks for being on the cooking channel!!! i really enjoyed it, and can't
wait to start baking! Happy Holidays!
Saw the show this morning and really enjoyed it - it made me miss my friends
in different states. Copies some of your recipes and am determined to add
a couple new recipes to my "usuals". Thanks for advertising your site - it's
great!!!! Merry Christmas!
Robin, I truly enjoyed your segment on the "Cookie Swap" from the Food
Network. I've only attended one cookie swap before. I thought it was just
something my church had thought up! We've since moved and my church here
didn't have one. I plan on changing that for next Christmas. Thank you for
all the great ideas and recipes! *S*Also, I wanted to tell you that you designed
a beautiful site. Very well organized and the graphics were great. Everyone
can tell that you've put in a lot of hard work, not just on your cookie swaps,
but on your web site too! Congratulations! May God multiply His blessings
upon you and your family.
Robin, I enjoyed seeing your exchange on Food TV. I hosted one for the
1st time this year, and will use some of your guidlines. It was a success
and all the cookies were good. I too, "knock my self out" along with my husband
as we throw a huge party every year. Our place was fully decorated by the
10th this year. I'll be checking back during the year for more tips. Keep
up the good work!
Watched the show and immediately came here to gather information about
a cookie swap. I work at a state psychiatric hospital. We hold an employee
luncheon each year and want to do something a little different as well as
making it a method to reach out to others. We talked about doing a cookie
swap for December 2000 and here we are. Thanks for some wonderful
ideas.
Love this web site
seen the show. It was great. Just might do this next year with my friends.
Love your site also.
Loved your special on Foodtv network and your website. You have a great
website here and I would love to see a message board for others to share
their recipes. Keep up the good work! Happy Holidays!
I loved your ideas
Loved your site I am going to make the wreath and candy cane cookies for
the kids school parties.
Hi Robyn! Wow!!! Great site! I missed your show on Sunday, but read in
the tidbits that you will have a re-run on Saturday...I will definitely tune
in! Thank you so much for offering such a fantabulistic site and also for
sharing so many wonderful recipes with all of us. It's rare now-a-days to
find a site like yours for FREE! I will put my oven to work this weekend
and will try to start my own cookie baking traditions (as I am newly
married...*grin*) and I thank you for giving me the inspiration to just go
for it! (So I burn the first batch,...I'LL LEARN! *wink*). Have a terrific
holiday season along with your loved ones! *huggums* -Penelopi : )
Great Show. You probably don't get too many men responding, but I had
to tune in to watch the show. I loved it. I picked up a lot of great recipes
that I plan to use for the years to come. Now I am no expert in the kitchen,
but I do know my way around. Growing up both of my parents worked, so quite
often it was myself and my siblings cooking for ourselves. I don't cook often
because of my work schedule, but I do once in awhile. If I'm in the kitchen,
I prefer baking. I look forward to next's year exchange and picking up some
additional recipes. Happy Holidays Michael
I love this site and found out about it when I saw your show. Q: When
the exchange starts, how do people pick? Do you just pick some of the ones
you want until you have 6 dozen? Or do you need to take a minimum of each
until they are gone? Since the number of people attending changes, I'm not
sure how it works. For years I have tried to get a cookie exchange going
without much success. I now see the key - inviting lots of people with a
set amount of cookies to bake. I tried to be too selective in who I invited
and I invited too few people. How far in advance of Christmas do you hold
your exchange?
