I'm nobody,
Who are you?
Are you, nobody, too?
Then there's a pair of us!
Don't tell!
They banish us you know.
How dreary, to be somebody.
How public, like a frog.
To tell one's name,
The livelong day.
To an admiring bog.

I asked the lord how much can I bare
and the answer was unheard or maybe never been
spoken
I've cry my last tear and watched my soul
bare things I didn't know I was capable of
and that's when I knew
what ever comes my way I will bare
cause the lord knows
How much I can bare.

Remember

Always remember to forget
The things that made you sad
But never forget toremember
The things that made you glad.

Always remember to forget
The friends that proved untrue
But never forget to remember
Those that have stuck by you.

Always remember to forget
The troubles that passed away
But never forget to remember
The blessings that come each day.

BLESSINGS
I waited for the sunshine,
the clouds were dark and gray,
prayed that God would hear me,
and cast me not away.
It seemed as if forever
I cried to Him in vain,
then it happened, oh, so quickly
came the best and greatest change
It wasn't what I asked for,
in my selfish soul-torn way,
but much better than I hoped for
all my fears He did allay.
So my friend do not be anxious,
He will answer in His time
and send blessings by the millions,
you alone could never find.

The Wedding Day

The wedding day is a time of great celebration
It follows months of some awesome frustration!
For weeks we've planned every tiny detail
Including the fact that the bride wants no veil.
We've shopped till we dropped and our nerves became frayed
We selected dresses and flowers and music to be played
The wedding, the wedding wasn't it supposed to be fun?
I never imagined so many things had to be done!
We've worried and fretted over so many things
Like invitations, pictures, music and rings.
As I sat in my chair reading books about ettiquette,
A voice in my heart said,"You just don't quite get it!"
For all of the worries and plans we have laid
This is the day that our Lord God has made!
As God sits on His throne looking down from above,
He points His finger and says,"This is about love!"
This day is about love as described in His book
It has nothing to do with the way that we look.
Today we are blessed as these two become one.
We're not losing a daughter, we're gaining a son!
Two wonderful people have fallen in love
They'll commit to each other and the Father above.
The wedding day is a time for memories of the heart
For the vows and the promises that these two will not part.
It isn't about all our clothes being new
But rather about those important I do's
It isn't about all the planning and fuss
But rather about love, honor, and trust
Now after some time of serious reflection
About our plans for a day of perfection
I feel relaxed in a wonderful way
And know why we celebrate ths wedding day
I know it's about the great blessing in our life
It's the day Pam and Garrett will become man and wife!

Invictus by William E. Henley

Out of the night that covers me
Black as the pit from pole to pole
I thank whatever gods there be
For my unconquerable soul

In the fell clutch of circumstance
I have not winced or cried aloud
Under the bludgeonings of chance
My head is bloody but unbowed

Beyond this place of wrath and tears
Looms but the horror of the shade
And yet the menace of the years
Finds and shall find me unafraid

It matters not how strait the gate
How charged with punishment the scroll
I am the master of my fate
I am the captain of my soul

Keep me from going to sleep too soon
Or if I go to sleep too soon
Come wake me up. Come any hour of night.
Come whistling up the road.
Stomp on the porch. Bang on the door.
Make me get out of bed and come
And let you in and light a light.
Tell me the northern lights are on
And make me look. Or tell me clouds
Are doing something to the moon
They never did before, and show me.
See that I see. Talk to me till
I'm half as wide awake as you
And start to dress wondering why
I ever went to bed at all.
Tell me the walking is superb.
Not only tell me but persuade me.
You know I'm not too hard persuaded.

THE MAN IN THE GLASS

When you get what you want in the struggle for self,
and the world makes you king for a day,
just go to a mirror and look at yourself,
and see what that man has to say,
for it isn't your father or mother or wife,
who judgement upon you must pass,
the fellow whose verdict counts most in your life,
is the one staring back from the glass.
Some people may think you a straight-shooting chum,
and call you a wonderful guy,
but the man in the glass says you're only a bum,
if you can't look him straight in the eye.
He's the fellow to please, never mind all the rest,
for he's with you clear up to the end,
and you've passed your most dangerous, difficult test,
if the man in the glass is your friend.
You may fool the whole world down the pathway of years,
and get pats on the back as you pass,
but the final reward will be heartaches and tears,
if you have cheated the man in the glass!!!
