I was a teenager during the 70's..the old motto..Drugs,Sex and Rock'n'Roll! :) Those were the days and I would never trade it for what the kids have now! Great job on the site. Will tell others about it. Keep on smiling...and Cool!

You are a big help to me looking for an old life I used to live in. I was born in Wash.DC and lived in Silver Spring, MD. In 1970 I ran away from home the last time,#7 or 8 to where my grand parents lived, in Texas, and that summer my folks went ahead and moved here also. Dad was retiring and they were going to move here any way, just not as quick as they did. In 2000 I was in an accident which left me un able to work again. So I've had time to wonder. And you've help answer many questions on this site. Funny how life turns around. Now I long for the past I used to run away from. Or at least knowlege of it. To long of an entry, I know, sorry. Thank you again for all you've done.

Kemp Mill Rocks! Hi Robin I adore your site! I just knew in my heart that you were a local gal! We moved to Kemp Mill in the early 60 s and stayed for 25 years. We went to Wheaton Plaza (before it was enclosed), played Kick-the Can, watched Speed Racer, and wore Maxi Coats & Elephant Bells. Our mom was a Den Mother and our father a Pack Leader. I rode my Schwinn 3-speed bike with banana seat everywhere and didn t head home until just before the streetlights came on. I couldn t wait for Jr. High (I totally don t get the concept of middle school) so I could slow-dance to Stairway to Heaven (I realize that I ve merged into the 70 s). In between Charles Chips deliveries, we would pick-up a bag of freshly roasted peanuts @ the Mr. Peanut shop and stop by Gifford s for our mom.
