Hi Kevin, Just saw your post looking for that huge black air cannon with
the red pump. I'm looking for one too. Have you found any/ Do you remember
what it was called? I bought Airzooka's, I guess they are good enough for
today's kids, but they don't hold a candle to that bazooka thing. Any and
all info would be greatly appreciated.Thanx

This is the first time visiting this site!! I love it!! I remember these
little dolls, only about 2 inches tall, that came in a plastic case and all
had different colored hair that smelled different. You would put them back
in the case when you finished playing with them so the hair would stay fresh
smelling!! I can't remember what these dolls were called, but I had several
of them!! Ohhhh, they were soooo cool!!!!!

I remember the Rolling Stones concert at RFK Stadium, in 1969. With several
of my high-school buddies (from the Class of '72), we camped out the day
before the concert opened: we had sleeping bags, lawn chairs, and water coolers
that we had filled with beer. Well, after partying all day, all night, with
just a little sleep, and most of the next day, we were "ripe" (in all senses
of the word :^) for the concert that night. We ended up getting near the
very front (but not right up front, which is where the bouncers tossed the
stage crashers), so it was a very cool time for all. A very fond memory.
Thanks for hosting such a "far out" site where I can share it. Peace &
Brotherhood!

I just remembered another 60s thing -- the postcard with the fuzzy bear,
or the fuzzy flowers, or the fuzzy roof-of-the-house that you would put near
a window, and the fuzz would change color (from pink to blue) to tell you
if it was going to rain. Anyone remember that? Alison

So here's the big question: Does anyone remember "Twinkles, the Storybook
Cereal?" Twinkles was an elephant, and the back of the cereal box opened
up to be a book about his adventures. I've asked friends for YEARS about
this, and no one's ever remembered it? (I was raised in NYC, and it might
have been a test-marketed product, but if you remember it, please let me
know!)

Hi, Robin! This is the 3rd time I've posted here! First, I'd like to recommend
that you remove the nonsense messages that have unfortunately begun to litter
the board. Secondly, I've been wracking my brain trying to find the name
of a beloved 60's toy. Both my younger sister and I had them...they were
basically plastic doves (or pigeons), with a circular wheel studded with
suction cups as feet. When you pulled the string, they'd walk up the wall--only
to jump off when the string reached its end. My sister's was red and blue,
with a real red feather on its head. Mine was white and blue, with a white
feather. These were advertised on television, circa 1965-66. Anybody have
a clue as to what these toys could be? I'm also looking for a few 60's toys:
the Jaymar monster puzzles in frame trays; Superman colorforms; Whitman punch
out "Manger Scene," Whiteman punch out for The Sword in the Stone;" any Little
Lulu comics with a Halloween theme, and any and all Archie giants from the
mid 60's that are in nice shape. Thanks! Rod

Anchor hocking symbol on the bottom of the jug, I believe. Any interest in
purchasing?

I have been trying to write a speech for our 30 yr class reunion coming up
this summer. Was going back to our childhood for memories up thru graduation.
I had made lots of lists and was surprised how many of the same things that
we remembered. This site has been a tremendous help and have been reminded
of things that I haven't thought of in many years. Thanks so much. I really
enjoyed it.

My memories of the 1960's? I expect rather different from others here...all
the men wore the same type of clothes, had the same short haircut...I got
to see and ride around in the heaviest of heavy metal...lived in Germany
for a time, too. My father belonged to a very good travel agency...in fact,
we just couldn't say no to them. Of course, it was called the US Army...and
I...am an army brat (I hate that term, but...) Oh, and I *loved* fizzies!
*And* Pizza Spins. *And* Space Stix! Yum!

I am looking for info on a doll I had as a 5 year old. It was a doll with
special crayons that you could write on & erase! It was soo cool. My
mom threw it OUT, when a friend colored on her & then the girl came down
with measles. Anyone have any info? I have collected dolls, including Velvet,
mattel story book cinderella & a barbie country camper. Looking for a
good site for old dolls (1960-75) anyone know of one that's reasonable??
