Phil Ritchie - Rock Star : Supernova

This is my Phil Ritchie page. OK, so 'my boy 'got voted off, last week on July 26th, (gosh darnnit), in a mini 'media scandal' --no less.

So now it's time to just at least help promote Phil's awesome group, Lennex!

"A lesser none".

See Phil perform White Rabbit with Jason Newsted on bass, for week 3 on Rockstar Supernova at YouTube.

Twenty-five thousand singers from the USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, the U.K., Iceland, and Malaysia auditioned for ROCK STAR: SUPERNOVA.

Everyone on the list below can sing. But --should they front Supernova?

My opinion:

Chris Pierson -- Poor Chris, his "sing for his life" songs in the "bottom 3" were so much better than his main performances.
Dana Andrews -- She's young and probably has a good career ahead of her, but her look reminds me of a country music singer.
Dilana -- Should front her own band, where she is the main attraction. Her personality is too big for the group.
Jenny Galt -- Not right for a lead in a male rock band. Too feminine. Great singer, should be like Alanis Morrisette, Edie Brickell or Jewel, just known as herself.
Jill Gioia -- I see her doing Broadway or Vegas or something like that. Not a lead in a famous male rock band.
Josh Logan -- Great singer, but presence too soft for male lead vocal. Cannot "get ugly" enough.
Lukas Rossi -- Scary! (Too ugly.) Just looking at Lukas gives me the creeps. I don't like his look, his arrogance, his attitude towards the other singers. If he wins I will never buy a Supernova album.
Magni Asgeirsson -- I like Magni, he may have what it takes.
Matt Hoffer -- I liked Matt, sorry he went so soon, but not right for this band.
Patrice Pike -- Good singer, but she does nothing for me. "Yawwwwwn"
Phil Ritchie -- I think Phil would fit in with this band. He has a quiet self confidence about himself. Tommy Lee seems to love him. Phil seems easy going, takes direction and criticism well, therefore he can grow as a performer, and he's not an ego maniac, like Lukas. SN asked him to "bring it" and he did, re: White Rabbit. I like the sound of his voice, it's different. At first I didn't like his style of movement, it's loose, but now I think it's cool, unique. I think the girls will like him, as he has dreamy eyes and a charming smile, but he can also "get ugly" for the guys. Phil has "it".
Ryan Star -- It's painful to watch Ryan perform. It's like his hemorrhoids are getting the best of him. I can't even hear his voice as watching him makes me cringe.
Storm Large -- Storm is good but should be fronting her own band. She's "too big" for the people behind her, not enough balance. Same as how I feel about Dilana, too.
Toby Rand -- Too bad he didn't try out for INXS. I like Toby, just not for this band. He's a great cover singer, he's a cute Aussie, but I haven't seen him "get ugly", the way Tommy Lee, Jason and Gilbey want. Not quite enough personality coming through, a bit bland. I might want to have a beer with Toby, but not necessarily pay $50 a ticket to hear him.
Zayra Alvarez -- Her hispanic accent comes through on the songs. Therefore I say "No way, Jose!" She wore a see through dress to get votes. NEXT!
