"Monster Mounds!"
Here's a winner I came up with for my son Sean's 11th birthday in
2003.
It's an activity and a dessert!
Directions:
Make 4 batches of Rice Krispy Treats according to the directions on the box.
(Alter for your amount of kids, I had 20)
Divide into 2 stock pots, dye one pot with red food coloring and the other
pot with green food coloring. (Or you could leave some plain.) Then transfer
the Rice Krispies, while still warm
into
large plastic bowls and bring the warm, gooey mess outside to the awaiting
crowd.
Along with the Rice Krispies treats, put out a pan full of loose candies
in bowls, such as candy corn, gum drops, M&M's and gummy worms.
