My friend and I hosted a cookie exchange for 10 years but it got too big for us to handle. We alternated between her house and mine each year and the last few years we had 75+ guests. Each person brought 6 dozen cookies and took 6 dozen of their choice home. We served lunch and had wine and champagne :-) tails and hot buttered rum. The party was so popular, it became the hotest invitation in town. I would suggest to anyone thinking of hosting a cookie exchange to not let it get this big. |

It was on Tuesday early a.m. 1:00 a.m. I thought I would throw out a suggestion to you. We also have a Christmas Cookie Exchange. We do all those wonderful things that you also do, except for one difference: We have our guests bring one dozen cookies for every guest. The best part is that we have that person put all of their dozen of cookies in special one of a kind containers. One container per guest. The guest with the best containers wins a door prize. Not only do you walk away from the cookie exchange with dozens of delicious cookies, but also a certain number of wonderful crafty containers. It really does inspire alot of the girls to come up with inventive and special crafty ideas. This year we had so many neat containers it was so hard to pick out the very best one. I enjoy it every year as you do and I hope that the tradition continues every year for both of us. I really enjoyed watching you bring it all together on the program.
