My 1999 Cookie Exchange for the Food
Network!
First of all, I would like
to thank
FoodTV for inviting
me to participate in the Holiday Cookie Swap with Sara Moulton.
A Big "Thank you" to:
Matthew Stillman, the executive at the
Food Network who invited
me to participate and the good folks at High Noon Productions, Producers;
Katrina Sarson, Safia Welty and Chris Wheeler, a world class cameraman.
Everyone was wonderful and very professional, which made the whole process
easy. My seven minute segment was edited beautifully and captured the exact
feel of my cookie exchanges. (FYI --It took about 8 hours of filming to get
7 minutes!)
I am so pleased to have
been able to share this special holiday tradition with others. I am equally
pleased that so many viewers took the time to write and state that they were
inspired to start their own Cookie Exchange based on mine.
I would like to offer a petite apology to the many people who have emailed
me that I have not been able to respond back to. I do appreciate all the
thoughts and comments and I have been listening.
As many of you have requested, I added a
Message Board for you
to post recipes and ask others for help in finding recipes , cooking tools
and share your baking tips.
Many of you that already do host exchanges sent letters explaining in detail
of how you host an exchange. I will make a special page for all of your
tips/ideas. Lastly, I would like to thank everyone for sending me so many
cookie recipes! Hopefully I will have them all posted shortly.
Last but not least, I would like
to thank all of my friends that dutifully show up at my door year after year
with their cookies! There would be no fun, no tradition and no TV show in
1999 without you!
Thank you for participating:

McNeely, Cheryl Berger, Louise Guard, Janet Albright, Becky Campbell, Nancy
