I will be hosting my 2nd Annual Cookie Exchange on December 14th this year. After recovering from Hurricane Rita, we are ready for some normalcy in our lives. This year 10 people should be attending, last year is was only 6. We are also sharing some of the cookies with a local nursing home. I hope to post a picture of our group after the party.

Hi Robin, Tonight I google searched "cookie exchange" just for the fun of it to see if anyone has ever got a website with this FUN event. I was so pleased to find your site! I have been hosting a Christmas cookie party since 1984. It has evolved and evolved through the years. Many of the girls are still part of the original guests. We all look forward to it every year, waiting to see what new idea someone will come up with to add to this years' exchange. Last year was our 20th Anniversary and I invited everyone that had ever came, back. What a fun night!!!! Our theme was "20 Years of Friendship" We made a album of the past years of brought together pictures, had prizes, LOTS of food, gifts, games, laughter, and still exchanged the cookies! I wish everyone that reads your site lots of fun years exchanging cookies and building friendships!!!

I will be hosting my second Cookie Exchange this December and the number of attendees has increased due to the great time had by last years guests. I have each bake enough cookies so each guest takes home a 1/2 dozen of each of the yummy treats made. I ask that the 1/2 dozens be packaged for easier handling by the guests. I also put togther a cute lil keepsake cook book with each of the cookie recipes along with some Christmas Trivia, Christmas Carols and/or History of Holiday Traditions. We have voting of Best Dressed Cookies, Most Unique Recipe and Best Holiday Outfit which the winners receive a small Holiday gift. Also, serve a dinner while everyone enjoys the fun and fellowship as well as taking home a huge assortment of cookies.

I decided this year I would like to have a cookie exchange. Your cookie website is the first one I've looked at. It's very inspirational.I would like to use your graphics for my cookie exchange invitations but I'm not sure how to do that. I'll let you know how it goes. I also do a gingerbread party with the children. They're are now 12 - 22 years of age but they still want to continue!!! I'm looking for something that is less work on my part (usually they make individual gingerbread houses)- any ideas? I had my kitchen redone 3 weeks before Christmas but it was functional for Christmas Day!Good luck on your renovations.

Hi Robin! I just love your website! My family has been doing cookie exchanges since about 1995. I'm getting great ideas from everybody else's experiences. The family cookie exchange is rotated between several different houses each year and last year it was at mine. So this year I'd like to have a cookie exchange at my house for my friends. They usually don't get invited to the family one because it is already so big. My husband bought me a camera for Christmas last year, so this year I will be able to take lots and lots of pics. Thanks so much for this website! Brandy

Robin, I am having my first holiday cookie swap this year at my house. I have never been to one. I am sending out 25 invitations, but I am only asking for 3 doz. cookies-6 sounds like way too much! I am including games and ornamemt exchange as well. I am also taking their recipes and making into booklets along with group picture that I will scan onto each book. This will give them a memoir. Can you think of anything else? I will also be serving Christmas appetizers, pastries, wassail and punch. My party will be at night during december-not on the weekend. Let me know if this sounds ok or if I need to make changes. Pat Mcdougald

My work friends and I were talking about doing special holiday activities. I suggested a cookie swap that I had participated in many, many years ago. Not knowing how to go about doing this, I went to google and found "Robin's Cookie Exchange". How appropriate since my name is also Robin. It's an omen. I'm going to host my first annual this holiday season. Thanks for all the great advice. I especially love the rules! I'll keep you posted. Robin from West Chester, Ohio
