Photo's from the
--The 70's!

If you were too cool for words in the 70's, please share some of your photos with us! That's right, go peel out those yellowed pictures from your magnetic albums, scan them and email to robin@robinsweb.com.  (I have graphics programs that will return the picture to it's original state.)

I came across your site by chance when looking for some 70's pop art on google. My father was a QB at the University of Maryland in the 60's and was considered a very sharp dresser in the 70's when he played in the NFL and WFL.

I enclosed a photo taken of us in 1971, I think you will get a nice laugh out of this. He was playing in the CFL and all the black players had the kind of suits they wore in the film Superfly. My father had some custom made for himself and used to wear them all over town, even to the grocery store. NFL Films actually used this photo in one of their movies because it just summed up what a player from the 70's dressed like if he was cool.

Hi Robin,
I just spent hours touring your website and I HAD A TOTAL BLAST! Like you, I loved the 70s and have many pleasant and specials memories of my life in Chicago back then. I still have a few friends today that I spent almost every day with as a teen. We had SO MUCH FUN! I was born in 1960, so the early 70s is when I was old enough to start going out on my own. We rode our Schwinn 10-speeds to Foster Beech on Lake Michigan and spent all Summer there. We also hung out at Darby's Five & Dime and Rossi's Submarine. We liked the Hollies, Raspberries, Alice Cooper, Elton John and Terry Jack's Seasons in the Sun and too many more to list. Oh the Good Old Days. Thank you SO MUCH for helping bring it all back!

P.S. Attached is a picture of me & my '73 Dodge Challenger taken in the Summer of 2006. I guess in some ways, it's always gonna be the 1970s for me.
